Play a quick online game to learn the infinitive forms of the 6 German modal verbs.
Modal verbs are "helping verbs" that are "usually used with another verb to express ideas such as possibility, necessity, and permission". [Merriam-Webster]

Exception: the modal verb "mögen" is generally not used with another verb, but rather with a noun.

• müssen - must, to have to
• können - can, to be able
• dürfen - may, to be allowed
• wollen - to want
• sollen - should, to ought to
• mögen - to like

6 Model Verbs in a Sentence
