Context: At the border control when entering France. The French word "affaires" (plural) means "business" or "matters of public concern".

Vocabulary

  • Bonjour! - Hello!
  • êtes-vous - are you (formal)
  • ici - here
  • pour affaires - for business
  • non - no
  • je rends visite à - I'm visiting (I'm paying a visit to)
  • mes amis - my friends
  • et ma famille - and my family

Note:
rendre visite à - to visit (people)
visiter - to visit (places, museums, etc)
