German Language Game: Kennst du ...?



German Quick Language Game: "Kennst du ...?" (Do you know ...?/ Are you acquainted with ...?)
With this fun, interactive German vocabulary game you'll learn and practice a variety of short sentences with the present forms of "kennen" (to know, be acquainted with) plus direct object forms of the pronouns that go with it.
This is a great way to practice pronoun objects.
Play the game a couple of times so that your answers become automatic - which is a good step to fluency.
Always say the German out loud!

  • Vocabulary in Language Game "Kennst du ...?"

  • ich kenne - I know
  • du kennst - you know (familiar)
  • er/sie/es kennt - he/she/it knows
  • Sie kennen - you know (formal)
  • wir kennen - we know
  • ihr kennt - you-all know
  • sie kennen - they know
  • Sie kennt mich. - She knows me.
  • Er kennt dich nicht. - He doesn't know you.
  • Wir kennen ihn. - We know him.
  • Ihr kennt sie. - You-all know her/them.
  • They know him well. - Sie kennen ihn gut.
  • Kennen wir euch? - Do we know you-all?
  • Sie kennen uns nicht. - They don't know us.
  • Du kennst sie gut. - You(fam.) know them/her well.

Two other German verbs mean "to know", but are used in different situations. 
"Wissen" means "to know a fact" and "können" means "to know how/ to be able".
